Olivia Dong, PhD, is an Associate Director of Health Economics at RTI-HS. Dr. Dong develops cost-effectiveness models to evaluate the health and economic outcomes of emerging health technologies. She is experienced in developing cost-effectiveness models and analyses in the areas of cardiovascular disease, age-related macular degeneration, asthma, portal hypertension, lung cancer, and pulmonary fibrosis.  Prior to joining RTI-HS, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship through the Duke Center for Applied Genomics and Precision Medicine T32 Postdoctoral Training Program in Genomic Medicine where she conducted health economic evaluations of genomic interventions and led quality improvement projects for the US Department of Veterans Affairs Pharmacogenomic Testing for Veterans (PHASER) clinical program. Dr. Dong has received several awards for her research in the health economics and outcomes research area, including receiving first place in the American College of Cardiology 2021 Young Investigator Awards Competition in Outcomes Research. She has presented her research at various professional conferences and has published her research in Value in Health, European Heart Journal - Quality of Care and Clinical Outcomes, Journal of Personalized Medicine, and Pharmacogenomics.
