Veena Hoffman, MPH, is a Director of Epidemiology at RTI-HS. She has 15 years of experience in the design, conduct, and reporting of pharmacoepidemiologic studies using administrative claims and electronic health data sources. Ms. Hoffman has led drug safety and effectiveness studies across several therapeutic and clinical areas and has experience in the development and validation of claims-based disease and outcome algorithms. Ms. Hoffman has extensive experience managing and coordinating multicenter postmarketing authorization safety studies with research partners and other key stakeholders in the United States (US) and Europe.
Prior to joining RTI-HS, Ms. Hoffman worked as an epidemiologist for a large health services company and for a healthcare technology company. She is a member of the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology and has served as a reviewer for Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety and other peer-reviewed journals. Ms. Hoffman also serves as an advisor for the National Death Index within the US National Center for Health Statistics.
