Yiwei Zhang, PhD, is a Senior Research Health Economist in the Health Economics group with RTI-HS. Dr. Zhang is experienced in developing disease models and simulation optimization models to provide quantitative evidence for public health decisions. She has developed and validated infectious respiratory disease models (e.g., coronavirus disease 2019 [COVID-19] and measles). Prior to joining RTI-HS, she worked as a research assistant for 3 years at NC State University. She also has experience in working on projects with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE). Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at various professional conferences.
