Heather Danysh, MHS, PhD, is a Director of Epidemiology at RTI-HS and has 15 years of epidemiologic research experience, and 6 years with a focus on phamacoepidemiology. Dr. Danysh is experienced in managing large multidisciplinary teams for multiyear, multidatabase postauthorization drug safety studies, using data sources from the United States (US) and Europe, as well as conducting feasibility assessments and validation studies with experience in a variety of therapeutic areas, including oncology, type 2 diabetes, dementia, and psychosis. Prior to joining RTI-HS, she was research faculty at Baylor College of Medicine and an epidemiologist at the Texas Children’s Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, where she investigated factors associated with pediatric cancer risk with an emphasis on environmental exposures. Dr. Danysh is experienced in collaborating with external investigators. She has led research teams in protocol development, human subjects’ regulatory compliance, questionnaire development, participant recruitment, data management, statistical data analysis and interpretation, report development, and manuscript preparation for both US-based and international projects.
